About Mark McQueen, phoDOGrapher

Mark McQueen has been honing his technical and creative skills as a commercial photographer working for Fortune 100 companies in Manhattan since 1982.

In 1985, he turned his lens toward the many goofy dogs he found while visiting Paris, and continued seeking out amusing dogs after returning to New York.

Mark created phoDOGraphy.com in 1996 for sharing galleries of his dog photos with dog lovers everywhere. The site soon attracted a wide audience, and after receiving many queries, he began offering commissioned portraits. Pet portraits—especially dogs—are now Mark's main focus.

Mark McQueen's dog photos have appeared in many books, calendars, greeting cards and magazines. His stock photography of dogs is represented by Ron Kimball Stock.

Mark volunteered for years for Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter and sanctuary in New York, from which he has also adopted all four of his current pets, and he offers prints and pet portrait sessions for charity events.
